Household plumbing · an explained price before work
Gas cooktop installation
Replacing or installing a gas cooktop involves more than choosing the appliance. We discuss your cooktop, existing connection and installation space before quoting the gas work.

Tell us about the appliance
Have the make, model and installation information available if possible. Tell us whether this is a replacement in an existing kitchen or a new connection, and whether the appliance is already purchased. The gas type, available supply and appliance requirements need assessment; an existing cooktop does not mean every replacement will fit the same connection or space.
Agreeing the installation scope
We assess the proposed gas work and discuss the required connections and applicable installation requirements. Cabinet alterations, electrical work or other trades may need separate arrangements. We explain those boundaries before you approve the quote so you understand what is included and what needs organising alongside our visit.
Completion and handover
We explain the completed work and the relevant documentation for the installation. Queensland requires gas installations and conversions to be carried out by a licensed gasfitter. A new appliance purchase is not permission to attempt a connection yourself. If your enquiry is about a suspected gas leak rather than planned installation, call and clearly describe that concern instead of submitting a routine installation request.
Understand the work before you decide
We assess the issue on site, explain the proposed work and provide an upfront fixed-price quote for approval before starting. If finding the cause needs more involved diagnostics, we walk you through the options and approve any investigation cost separately.
Once a visit is agreed, you receive an arrival window and an on-the-way call or text. We take photos through the work and explain the result. Payment is collected on completion; arrangements for larger or multi-day work are discussed separately.
