Drain blockage or shower leak?
A shower that empties slowly is a drainage problem to investigate. Water appearing outside the shower, in an adjoining room or below the bathroom can involve a different issue. Tell us where you see water and whether it happens only while showering. We can discuss drain clearing, leak investigation or shower sealing without treating them as interchangeable fixes.
Assessing the waste and connecting drain
We look at the affected waste and assess whether the restriction appears local or connected to a wider drainage issue. Mention any nearby basin, toilet or floor waste that is also slow. The appropriate tools depend on the access and pipework. A camera is useful in some circumstances, but it is not automatically needed for every slow shower.
A clear scope before clearing
We explain the proposed clearing work and quote it for approval. If access is limited or the problem keeps recurring, we discuss additional diagnostic options separately. Clearing a restriction and repairing damaged drainage are different scopes. We explain the outcome of the visit and any recommended next step rather than promising that every shower problem has the same solution.
Understand the work before you decide
We assess the issue on site, explain the proposed work and provide an upfront fixed-price quote for approval before starting. If finding the cause needs more involved diagnostics, we walk you through the options and approve any investigation cost separately.
Once a visit is agreed, you receive an arrival window and an on-the-way call or text. We take photos through the work and explain the result. Payment is collected on completion; arrangements for larger or multi-day work are discussed separately.

Blocked shower drain clearing: your questions answered
Know what to expect before you request a visit. For anything else, call and talk us through the problem.
Does a slow shower mean the shower needs resealing?
Not necessarily. Drain flow and waterproofing are different issues. We assess the symptoms before recommending clearing, sealing or further investigation.
Should I mention other slow drains?
Yes. Tell us which fixtures are affected and whether they back up together. That helps us assess whether the problem extends beyond the shower waste.
