Household plumbing · an explained price before work
Blocked toilet clearing
A toilet that rises towards the rim, drains slowly or backs up needs a different assessment from a cistern that keeps running. Tell us whether the bowl is overflowing and whether other fixtures are affected.
Available 24/7. Call for urgent issues; we confirm attendance with you.

One toilet or several fixtures?
A blockage close to the toilet can affect that fixture alone. If the shower, floor waste or another toilet also backs up, the issue may be further along the shared drainage line. These observations help us plan the assessment; they do not establish the cause. Mention recent clearing work and whether the same problem has returned.
Clearing without guessing
We assess the toilet and available drain access before choosing a clearing method. Drain snakes, jetting or a CCTV inspection may be suitable depending on the location and condition of the pipework. We explain if removing the toilet or further investigation is needed, including the separate cost, before asking you to approve it.
What to tell us when you call
Tell us when the problem started, whether wastewater is escaping, and whether you have another usable toilet. Avoid repeatedly flushing a bowl that is already backing up. If a drain chemical has been used, tell us its name before we work. After clearing, we explain what was found and whether further repairs need a separate quote.
Understand the work before you decide
We assess the issue on site, explain the proposed work and provide an upfront fixed-price quote for approval before starting. If finding the cause needs more involved diagnostics, we walk you through the options and approve any investigation cost separately.
Once a visit is agreed, you receive an arrival window and an on-the-way call or text. We take photos through the work and explain the result. Payment is collected on completion; arrangements for larger or multi-day work are discussed separately.

Blocked toilet clearing: your questions answered
Know what to expect before you request a visit. For anything else, call and talk us through the problem.
Is a blocked toilet the same as a running toilet?
No. A blockage affects wastewater leaving the bowl. A running toilet usually involves the cistern refill or flush mechanism. Tell us which symptom you are seeing so we can discuss the right visit.
Will you need to remove the toilet?
That depends on the blockage and available access. We explain any removal, reinstatement and related costs before you approve that work.
