Household plumbing · an explained price before work
Blocked sink clearing
A kitchen sink or bathroom basin that fills faster than it drains can interrupt everyday use. We assess the waste connection and drainage before quoting the clearing work.

Where is the sink backing up?
Describe whether one bowl, both bowls or another fixture is affected. Water transferring between the two bowls of a kitchen sink is useful information to mention. Also tell us whether a dishwasher discharge appears to trigger the problem. A leak under the cabinet is a separate symptom worth reporting, even when the sink is also slow.
Access beneath the cabinet
The waste trap and connecting pipework may need inspection, but a restriction can also be further along the drain. We assess access and explain the proposed method before starting. If you can safely clear stored items from the cabinet, that gives us a better view of the plumbing. You do not need to dismantle the trap before requesting a visit.
Clearing and replacement are different jobs
A blocked sink does not automatically need a new sink or mixer. We quote the work needed for the problem assessed. If a waste fitting is damaged or the blockage recurs, we explain whether repair or further inspection is appropriate. Tell us about any drain products already used, including when you used them, so we can plan the work.
Understand the work before you decide
We assess the issue on site, explain the proposed work and provide an upfront fixed-price quote for approval before starting. If finding the cause needs more involved diagnostics, we walk you through the options and approve any investigation cost separately.
Once a visit is agreed, you receive an arrival window and an on-the-way call or text. We take photos through the work and explain the result. Payment is collected on completion; arrangements for larger or multi-day work are discussed separately.
